Frankenstein Feel...

Out of the three elements of action, atmosphere, and supernatural, I think that atmosphere is the most effective in the making of a Gothic piece of literature. For example, seeing a figure at night is more scary than seeing one at daytime. The atmosphere for Frankenstein must be a gory scene to make the story more interesting and suspenseful. What makes the atmosphere in Frankenstein more effective is when Victor goes to his hometown to see his family when his brother got murdered by the monster. Victor sees the monster at the scene of the crime and the scene is pitch black and has a suspenseful feel, like almost creepy like. In the book, Victor tells when the monster was lurking through the village at night and the people were screaming and running in terror because of the monster. This scene shows that the darkness of night makes the monster seem more scary and mysterious.
